STATEMENT OF MISSION AND CORE VALUES

The Eastern Berks Regional Police Department recognizes that a published Mission Statement and identified Core Values are important management tools for communicating those principals to organization members, the constituency served by the organization, and all stakeholders; and to guiding the organization to successfully accomplishing its mission, fulfilling its objectives, and upholding its values.

Our Mission Statement:

The primary Mission of the Eastern Berks Regional Police Department is the protection of life and property within the community served by the department, and to promote a culture in which safety, security, and a high quality of life are both the common perception, and a reality for all people regardless of race, color, creed, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, national origin, financial status, or other distinctive.

Organizational Objectives

The Organizational Objectives of the Eastern Berks Regional Police Department are:

1.)  Effective patrol,
2.)  Competent investigation and disposition of reported and otherwise known crimes,
3.)  Fair and equitable enforcement of the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, of the United States of America when applicable, and of the ordinances of the municipalities served,
4.)  To render appropriate assistance to all persons in need regardless of whether residents of or visitors to the community served by the department,
5.)  Community Engagement and Collaboration with a diverse representation of stakeholders concerned with the betterment and protection of the community
